INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Scope and editorial policy

The Revista Brasileira de Ciências Sociais publishes articles and reviews in the Social Sciences fields.  The journal has consolidated its performance as one of the main Brazilian publications in the area of social sciences, reaching a wide thematic and conceptual diversity. It publishes not only Brazilian authors, but also contributions of renowned foreigner social scientists.

Spontaneous presentations of any contributions automatically implicate the full cession of the copyright to ANPOCS. The journal will not return the originals to authors.

Preparation of originals

Two hard copies of originals should be presented, typed double-spaced with wide margins. Articles should not exceed 30 pages (20 lines each), or six thousand words. Book reviews should not exceed 7 pages.

Articles should include an abstract and keywords, as well as author identification (institution, position, fields of interest, recent publications etc.).

Authors whose works are accepted for publication should send a diskette (IBM-PC format) containing the article, preferably prepared in Word for Windows, accompanied by a printed copy. Articles should be presented as follows:
